There would be no life other than on Earth. All other worlds would be sterile,
in short. Or else, life could have started and then be annihilated by a cosmic
event.
NASA employee, physicist Jim Green, explains in an interview
that even if scientists managed to find traces of life on Mars, the world would
not be ready to hear such an announcement, which would lead to a philosophical
and scientific revolution.

Yes, I would like to meet or see extraterrestrial life if I had
the opportunity it will be an enjoyable experience

I will ask how it came into existence? Are there other residents?

If
Earthlings discovered extraterrestrial life, people could move there to live
and start a new life. And thus, the lifestyle may change, we may start
reconstruction over again, build a new world that may be completely different,
we may return to simple life.
