Sentences: Gerund and Infinitives

1. Write a sentence or question using each word (group of words) below as the verb in the sentence or question. Add either a gerund or infinitive.

   a. enjoy

She enjoys running daily.

   b. want

I wanted to stay for a few more weeks.

   c. like

I like to be punctual.

   d. go

Let’s go dancing this weekend.

   e. discuss

I discussed working at the company.

   f. look forward to

I'm looking forward to having a rest.

   g. continue

I continued talking.

   h. worry about

I worry about you when you’re home alone.

2. Write a sentence using a gerund as the subject. 

Hiking can be a relaxing and rewarding activity.

3. Write a sentence using 'it is' + adjective + infinitive.

It is difficult for me to guess what will happen.

4. Write a sentence or question using 'too' with an infinitive.

It is too late to go to the concert. It started an hour ago.

5. Write a sentence or question using 'enough' with an infinitive. 

She is strong enough to carry it.

6. Write a sentence or question using an infinitive to express purpose.  

I'll leave the door open so that you can come in.
